What is LSPA? Do I have to be Latinx to Join?

LSPA is student organization at CSUF where all are welcome to join. There are no requirement to join LSPA.

Do I need to pay to be a Member?

No, membership is no required to be part of LSPA, although some choose to pay for Membership in order to receive Graduation Regalia.

When are Meetings?

Currently we meet Tuesdays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM and sometimes run until 5:00 PM.

What types of Events does LSPA host?

LSPA has many different types of events throughout the academic year including but not limited to Socials, Fundraisers, Community Service, and Academic Events.

Can I still Join if I have class during LSPA meetings?

Yes, there are many events throughout the semester, we also have some events like fundraisers that are all day or other events that are a different day or time. You are welcome to pay for membership, but there is no guarantee that you will receive Graduation Regalia if requiements are not met.

What are the Requirements to receive Graduation Regalia?

In order receive Graduation Regalia members must: 

➢ Pay $25 fee (New members) or $15 (Returning) due by the deadline

➢ Attend 5 Meetings (Educational / Speakers / Informative) 

➢ Complete 3 Academic Hours (Study session, study with a board member, Career center visit, Tutoring center visit, writing center visit)

➢ Complete 2 Community Service Events

➢ Attend 1 Social (Usually an activity FUN emphasis)

➢ Attend 1 Fundraiser

How can I Join?

Complete the Membership Form and contact the LSPA Board to set up payment if you would like the to earn Graduation Regalia. Note you don't have to pay if you don't want Regalia.

Can I purchase a T-shirt individually?

Yes, Just contact anyone on the LSPA Board or visit us at our weekly meetings.

​

If I am interested in a Board position how can I apply?

We are always accepting applications for Board. If interested visit our Linktree and fill out the Board Member Application Form. There are many positions including for the official position and Interns.
